1680 - Quakerism To The Fore

In the Religious persecutions of this time we find much mention of Quakers - one being fined ten pounds and imprisoned and others refusing to take the oath of allegiance were "Committed to Gaoler of York." Many Quakers were reported as "Absent from Church three weeks."
